Who is the data controller

Mentola is a service operated by LegaSum Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom.

  • LegaSum Ltd, Company No. 12624397, registered in England & Wales
  • Registered address: 20-22 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU, England
  • Contact about personal data: info@mentola.dk

“Mentola” is the name of the service. LegaSum Ltd is the legal entity behind it, and is the data controller for the personal data processed here.

Where we process personal data about people in the EU, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies under Article 3(2), even though LegaSum Ltd is registered in the United Kingdom.

When we process data about you

We process personal data in three situations:

  1. You fill in the contact form and ask for a free marketing review.
  2. You use the price calculator to get an estimate for a digital setup.
  3. You visit the website. We set no cookies for statistics or marketing, see the cookie policy.

We do not buy personal data, and we do not collect information about you from other sources.

What data

The contact form

You write: name, company, email, phone (optional), website (optional) and your message.

In addition the system records automatically:

  • which page you came from and landed on, including any campaign parameters in the address (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term) and a click id from Google or Meta if you arrived through an advertisement
  • your browser's user agent
  • an encrypted imprint of your IP address. We never store the IP address itself, only a salted hash, which cannot be read back to an address. It is still personal data, because it can be used to confirm whether a particular address has sent an enquiry
  • the time of submission

The price calculator

The price calculator is our own system. The information you enter there is processed by us in the same way as an enquiry from the contact form, it is not passed on to a third party.

When an enquiry becomes a case

From an accepted enquiry we create a contact record, a company record and a lead in our own system, along with a log of the emails sent in connection with it.

What we use it for, and on what basis

Purpose Basis
Answering your enquiry and preparing the review you asked for Steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract, Art. 6(1)(b)
Creating and maintaining contact, company and lead records so we can follow up Legitimate interest in running a customer relationship, Art. 6(1)(f)
Sending you a confirmation that we have received the enquiry Art. 6(1)(b)
Recording how you found us, so we can assess our own marketing Legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f)
Preventing misuse of the forms (spam filter, duplicate check, hashed IP) Legitimate interest in protecting our systems, Art. 6(1)(f)
Complying with accounting and other legislation when you become a customer Legal obligation, Art. 6(1)(c)

Filling in the contact form is not consent to marketing. We do not send you newsletters or sales emails on the basis of an enquiry. If we offer a newsletter at some point, it will require separate, active consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

How long we keep it

We have not set fixed deletion periods today. Information from enquiries, contacts, companies, leads and email logs is kept until we delete it, either because you ask us to, or because we clear it ourselves.

We are in the process of setting concrete deletion periods. Until they are in place: you can always ask us to delete your information, and we will, unless legislation requires us to keep it, typically accounting records.

Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. We use the following processors:

Processor Role Location
one.com Hosting of the website and of our own system EU (Denmark)
Amazon Web Services (SES) Sending email EU (Ireland, eu-west-1)

We do not use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager or any other statistics or advertising tools on this site today. The fonts are hosted locally, so no data is sent to Google when you open a page.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have incorrect data corrected, to have data deleted, to have processing restricted, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, to receive your data in a common format, and to withdraw a consent where processing is based on consent.

Write to info@mentola.dk. We answer within one month. We do not have a self-service route for deletion, you write to us and we do it.

You can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, Denmark, datatilsynet.dk.

Cookies

See the separate cookie policy. In short, this site sets no cookies for statistics or marketing today. If that changes, we ask first.

Changes

We update this policy when our processing changes, for example on the day we start using web statistics.
